Wins and Losses

We are in the middle of the Olympics! Watching the Olympics was always big in my family. While watching the ice skating my dad would say "I used to be able to do that! Yeah, I was good!" Dorothy Hamil was my idol. I got my ears pierced because of her. We would all gather round the TV to watch the ice skating individual and pairs, ice dancing, and the terrifying luge in the Winter Games and the gymnastics, diving and swimming in the Summer Games. These days these events are still my favorite although the power, strength and stamina of these athletes is astounding! So I send my wishes of good luck and good cheer to all of the champions from around the world who pursue this ideal.

I, on the other hand, am starting to feel my age. I lost my horse and goat when I moved to Eugene to help my daughter. I moved back to my acreage in January with the hope of starting a sustainable farm on the hill as a means of educating youth. I bought a 12 x 28 shell (a glorified, well built barn) which I am finishing on the inside. Unfortunately, things cost a lot more than I thought they would, and so I sit here, comfortable enough, but without walls over my insulation. I face back-taxes which my renter did not pay (nor notify me). They left the house in filth with the garden, my lovely garden which my parents worked tirelessly on, left to the briars. Loss.

My cat of 13 years, Mr. Max Fuzzypants, has walked away to the great beyond. I now come home to an empty house. Loss.

I do have a valued friend who has helped me immensely during this long transition. He is a pleasure to hang out with. WIN!

Here is where I bare my soul and ask for your help. I have a Go Fund Me promotion going in hopes that some of my financial concerns may be alleviated thereby leaving me more time to create and record the music I want to share with YOU!

If you have the inclination, for a $5 bill or more, please join me at https://gofund.me/7cfc3fc9

I will be honoring every contribution with a free download of my latest CD "TIDES".

WIN - WIN!
